1960s Douglas Hartley Special.
How's this for a one-off homebuilt sports car? It was built between 1961 and 1968 by Douglas Hartley (an airframe fitter by trade). It has a crossflow Ford engine with other components including the screen lifted from a Ford Corsair. It has a spaceframe chassis with front suspension of his own design. Door handles and other small components were also self-made in his workshop.
