Africar off-road car.
The Africar project was dreamt up by an English journalist who worked in Africa during the 1970s. It was designed to cope with the rough conditions often experienced in this country and be easily fixable by local tradesmen. The chassis and bodywork was made of wood. Despite some initial interest the company floundered and disappeared altogether in the late 1980s.
