Lagonda DB 3 litre DHC.
This handsome motorcar is a Lagonda which dates to 1953. It was built new for Peter Ustinov no less. The car left the factory as a 2.6 but was upgraded shortly afterwards as had been agreed with Mr Ustinov from the beginning. The actor used this swish drop head coupe to commute from his home in France to the UK as and when acting jobs required it. The engine is a six cylinder unit featuring twin overhead cams. It produces 140bhp - not a huge amount for a car that weighs in at over 3500lbs - but sufficient to propel it to speeds just over 100mph. The coachwork is in aluminium over an ash frame.
