BMC J4 Van.

Most surviving J4s are campers because vans usually lead a much harder life and get driven into the ground. The wonderfully straight sides on this particular J4 van suggest that this one has had a fairly easy time of things. Restoring flat sides like this once they've been bashed around is a real trial which makes me think this one has always had decent side panels on it. This one has the B series engine of 1500cc fitted to it.

BMC Books Whether for the J4 Van as shown below, or any other type of BMC, it is worth having a look on Amazon for books, DVDs, Videos etc.

Classic lorry and van photos from the Gaydon truck show.

BMC J4 Van photograph.
In addition to the BMC J4 Van shown above, were many other classic and vintage lorries, both large and small. I've featured 85 of the photos I took at this particular show, held at the Gaydon motor museum in Warwickshire, in 2005. Whether you're a fan of all BMCs, or just J4 Vans like the one shown here, I'd recommend a visit to this show.

If you can shed any more info on this J4 Van picture, I'd be interested to add to the information I have on this particular BMC, thanks.

All the pics shown in this section were taken by myself, at Gaydon in 2005.

Further pics of classic & vintage lorries (and the occasional American truck!) can be seen on the main Gaydon show page.
