The A40 Farina was launched late in 1958 and was retrospectively known as the Mk1. A few years into production and the Mark 2 came along. Initially fitted with the Mk1s 948cc engine it soon switched to 1098cc power and featured a number of revisions over the Mk1. Most obvious was the fully hydraulic braking system and longer wheelbase. Internal and external trim was also revised. I'd be interested to include more details of this cars history, so if you own the A40 Mark 2 shown below, or are a bit of an expert on the subject of Austin then by all means get in touch. |
