The Squire and Escort models were the estate car versions of the Ford 100E Popular saloon in the mid/late 1950s. Early Squires were fitted with mock wood trims to the side of the body. The example shown here however makes do with a chrome trim. The Escort was a lower-spec version of the Squire. Both were powered by the updated 1172cc sidevalve Ford engine. I'd be interested to include more details of this cars history, so if you own the 100E Squire shown below, or are a bit of an expert on the subject of Ford then by all means get in touch. |
