Austin A40 Somerset picture.Photographs of classic vehicles at the 2005 Nantwich show.
Austin's replacement for the A40 Devon was the mechanically-similar Somerset. The new car featured a body shape common to other Austins of the day but placed over the well known 1200cc running gear very familiar to Devon owners. The Somerset shared the column gearchange of the late (GS3) Devons. This example dates to 1953.
