SAAB 99 Turbo picture.Photographs of classic vehicles at the 2005 Nantwich show.
One of the cars I always fancied when growing up in the 1980s was the late 70s 2 door 99T. Only 600 or so 2 dr 99 Turbos were imported to the UK (either black or red) and good surviving examples are not thick on the ground. Many have been trashed or simply allowed to rust away. The 8 valve 2 litre B type engine from the 99 would go on to power the first of the 900 Turbos in 1979. Water injection was available as an option on the 99 range. Power steering would have been welcome too by all accounts! If you can add to the information I have on the 99 Turbo that I saw in Nantwich, please drop me a line. |
