MG MGC roadster rallycar.
The Rally Of The Tests historic car rally held in November 2005Notes on this classic MG MGC roadster seen on 13th Nov 2005.Powered by a hefty 3.0 6 cylinder engine is this MGC roadster of 1968. The structure of the MGB had to be significantly modified in order that a 6 cylinder lump could be squeezed into the B's bodyshell. The only obvious external difference is the raised (alloy) bonnet hump.
This picture, of an early MGC roadster, is photo number 54 of 95 images that I've put up on the site showing the historic rally cars that took part in this event in 2005. Please go to the main Rally Of The Tests photos page to see the other 94 photos! All were taken during a mid-morning stop-over between competitive stages during the rally on Sunday 13th November. The venue was the former secret nuclear bunker at Hack Green, near Nantwich in Cheshire. |

I'd be interested to include some more background info on the MG above, so if you own, or drive, this MGC roadster, please get in touch, thanks!
