Morris Mini Cooper 998 rallycar.
The Rally Of The Tests historic car rally held in November 2005Notes on this classic Morris Mini Cooper 998 seen on 13th Nov 2005.One of the iconic rally cars from the 1960s is of course the Mini Cooper - here in 998cc form. As well as providing excellent illumination the two Cibie Oscar foglamps will also keep some roadspray away from the distributor cap on this Mini - a common problem with all the original Minis. This F reg example was built in 1967.
This picture, of an early Mini Cooper 998, is photo number 18 of 95 images that I've put up on the site showing the historic rally cars that took part in this event in 2005. Please go to the main Rally Of The Tests photos page to see the other 94 photos! All were taken during a mid-morning stop-over between competitive stages during the rally on Sunday 13th November. The venue was the former secret nuclear bunker at Hack Green, near Nantwich in Cheshire. |

I'd be interested to include some more background info on the Morris above, so if you own, or drive, this Mini Cooper 998, please get in touch, thanks!
