The Rally Of The Tests historic car rally held in November 2005

Notes on this classic Porsche 356SC seen on 13th Nov 2005.

Forerunner to the 912 and 911 was the 356 series of rear engined Porsches. The car here was in its 41st year and probably expected an easy time in its later years! Alongside is the 1930s MG PB and shows the variety of early machinery that is eligible to compete in this historic car rally.

This picture, of an early 356SC, is photo number 34 of 95 images that I've put up on the site showing the historic rally cars that took part in this event in 2005. Please go to the main Rally Of The Tests photos page to see the other 94 photos! All were taken during a mid-morning stop-over between competitive stages during the rally on Sunday 13th November. The venue was the former secret nuclear bunker at Hack Green, near Nantwich in Cheshire.
