The Rally Of The Tests historic car rally held in November 2005

Notes on this classic Volvo 123GT seen on 13th Nov 2005.

Seen arriving at the mid-morning halt is the Dutch-registered 123GT Volvo Amazon powered by a 2.0 B20 engine. This was the 'hottest' version of the Amazon that Volvo offered back in the 1960s. Curiously this one has rear overriders from the 221 Amazon estate fitted.

This picture, of an early 123GT, is photo number 70 of 95 images that I've put up on the site showing the historic rally cars that took part in this event in 2005. Please go to the main Rally Of The Tests photos page to see the other 94 photos! All were taken during a mid-morning stop-over between competitive stages during the rally on Sunday 13th November. The venue was the former secret nuclear bunker at Hack Green, near Nantwich in Cheshire.
