A few notes on this classic Jaguar E-Type Lightweight:
A number of Lightweights were entered but sadly two were seriously bent on the Friday practice session. Shown is Car 28 - Adrian Newey's 1963 E-Type which was due to be co-driven by Bobby Rahal. Sadly this Jaguar was crashed heavily just a few hours after this photo was taken. Fortunately A. Newey got out ok.
If you can provide more info on E-Type Lightweights, or other Jaguars similar to this, please get in touch. In all there are 170 photographs featured from the 2006 revival, including competition cars, service vehicles, pushbikes, and a few interesting old motors owned by visitors to the race. To make things more manageable, they have been split into 2 sets (this Jaguar is in set 2).
