Austin Metropolitan photograph. The Metropolitan was designed to take on the US market - a market that historically Austin and Morris had not done particularly well in (the A90 Atlantic for example had been a major flop in the States). Power came from the BMC B series engine. I'm told that the door panels could fit either side once drilled to take the handles and other fitments.
Another picture taken at the Tatton Park event.
All the pictures featured here were taken by myself at the August event in 2004. |
