Hillman Imp photograph.

To rival the BMC Mini Rootes sold a number variations of the Hillman Imp theme. This L registration example is a basic Hillman version from 1973. Power comes from the innovative all-alloy engine of 875cc. Reliability of many Imps tarred the image of this small rear-engined car and the Imp never really recovered from the legacy of overheating engines and roadside breakdowns.
