Austin 1100 estate. The ADO16 (or Austin/Morris 1100 and derivatives) was a best-seller throughout the sixties yet rarely are seen on the roads of the UK some 40 years later. Rotting subframes and crumbling bulkheads saw off thousands of 1100s so survivors like this handy little Countryman are not that common nowadays. The engine is the familiar 1098cc A series engine mounted transversely.
Photographs of classic vehicles at Weston Park in Shropshire.I've featured 105 of the photos that I took at Weston Park, including this one of the Austin 1100 estate that was at the show on the Sunday (its a 2 day event). There was an interesting selection of classics on display, many of which I've not seen before. More pictures from this particular show can be seen on the Weston Park page. Links to pics of other Austins, if I have some, are further down this page. All the car & other vehicle photographs have copyright on them. |
