Maserati Shamal.


Not really a classic I know but very unusual so thats why it is here. Maserati once produced wonderful looking sports and GT cars (not forgetting their supreme Grand Prix cars of the 50s and before). By the 80s and 90s their designs were somewhat boxy (eg the BiTurbo and 222). The Shamal was an attempt to inject some excitement back into the Maserati showrooms and certainly was a striking looking car (reminds me of the Gp4 Alfa Romeo rally cars). The company are now under the wing of Ferrari (and therefore FIAT) and producing some very capable motorcars.
