Two classic lorries stolen.
Two lorries belonging to a friend of mine on the Wirral were stolen early on Friday 25th June 2010, from a storage area near the M53 motorway. The vehicles are a Morris PV finished in sand-beige colour, and a mid-1980s DAF 1900 beavertail lorry in dark blue.

The Morris, a very distinctive vehicle often seen at classic commercial vehicle meetings across the UK, had only been loaded onto the DAF late on Thursday afternoon. The two were stolen early on Friday morning, and are believed to have been taken North although exact details on this are sketchy. The details of each of the stolen lorries are as follows:
|
Morris PV lorry - or "H" as it was often known.
Fully restored PV-series Morris lorry, with distinctive H lettering to both sides and the roof. The rear body had been converted to living accomodation, for use at classic and vintage rallies etc. Registration 17 SKD / 95 BD 52.

DAF 1900 beavertail truck.
The Morris was loaded on the back of the DAF when both were stolen on 25/6/2010. The DAF's registration is F353 DFD. The photos below date to 2003 when it moved my old truck (unfortunately I don't have photos of the Morris loaded on the DAF together).

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the Morris and/or the DAF, please either contact the Police, or drop me a line and I'll pass it on - anonymously if preferred. Hopefully both commercial vehicles will turn up and be returned home safely.
