Dinky Streamliner racing cars
More information on these streamlined Dinkies!
As with the Hotchkiss racer these streamlined, Brooklands type racers never came with bases (or can anyone set me right on this?). Yet again another range of colourful toys that was re-introduced after the war and continued for some years after. Most of the examples that are found are postwar (as are those shown in the photographs above), have six exhaust pipes exiting from the bonnet sides, and the usual ridged wheels. Pre-war examples often had quite gaudy colour schemes and can be very hard to find, they also (I'm told) had only four exhaust stubs unlike the six on postwar toys (worth checking for!).
Measures: 94mm in length. Approximate value £15-£25 postwar, £85+ pre-war
