The DRH Motor Radio.
As supplied by Delco-Remy-Hyatt.
For just 17 GNs plus purchase tax you could have a shiny new DRH car radio for your motor. Features included a 6 inch high fidelity moving coil speaker and beam tetrode output stage incorporating negative feedback. Whatever that means. These hefty wirelesses were probably best suited to larger cars simply because of the bulkiness of the unit. Valves were the order of the day here. Transistors came along in later years allowing radio builders to make much more compact units. |
