The Exide Double-Life batteries. As supplied by Chloride Electrical Storage Co. Ltd. An average service life of 2 whole years must have been something to talk about 50+ years ago. This ad was aimed at the trade buyer hence the focus on complicated techie stuff such as the use of finely felted impregnated glass wool sheets to armour the positive plates. Wow. And the patented vent plug. Exide batteries could be ordered from the maker at the Exide works at Clifton Junction near Manchester. |
