Greetings from the USA! I have a 66 Minx and can't seem to figure out how to remove the dash pad. I have an Autobooks manual, but it doesn't help and genuine factory manuals are not too plentiful here(much like the Minx!). I removed the screws along the underside of the dash pad, but it doesn't move at all, anyone out there ever removed one and recall what the trick is? Thanks in advance for any direction. |

I have a Minx and Super Minx manual. Unfortunately there is no mention of the dash pad for the Minx but for the Super Minx:
1. They describe it as the crash roll and say that before it can be removed the windscreen must first be taken out.
2. Remove the facia panel including the end finisher mouldings.
3. Remove the lower crash roll retainer by drilling out the pop-rivets.
4. Remove the centre and two side upper retainers by taking out their retaining screws (9 in all).
5. From below the windscreen apaerture panel, straighten the tags on the underside of the demister slot bezels, and remove the bezels.
6. The crash roll is now released by an upward and rearward action. When refitting, new pop-rivets will have to be used for the retention of the lower retainer.
