What do you consider to be the best and worst points (if any!!) of the old vehicles you tinker with?

Good point - as said, easier to work on, and more engaging to drive.

Bad point - trying to get parts etc!

Worst points had to be a set on MGB I bought, they were pitted to the point of being hollow (faulty condenser)

Best points are the original NOS Lucas set fitted to my Morris 8 Wink

My Landrover S2a is great fun to drive but the major bad or minus point is the noise level inside the cab.

The Mark 2's bad point is it's sloth like handling

Pre-war Austin. Best point is the warm, oily smell when driving.

Worst point, having to see things gradually get scratched and worn over twenty years, for the second time, having slaved over restoration.

Best points from my 47 Minx is the lovely 'whine' of the gearbox and the smell of the original leather. Worst point I would say is the steering, sloppy even after a full box rebuild and very heavy for a small(ish) car. Still a pleasure to drive though Wink
