Sorry folks, another US car. Opinions on this car? wayyyy OTT in terms of styling? a lot of car for the £££? Or a tad vulgar? Not all eras of American car appeal to me, but some of the 30s cars - like this one - I do like.

Rick,

The guy seems to have got his facts wrong. This car is a 1937 and being right hand drive makes it Canadian. I think it's a thing of beauty Cool

Yes Canadian lower import duties due to Imperial preference I believe. The reg no is right for 1936/37 I'm no expert on GM products of the period but if it is a 1937 model this would have been introduced in the early autumn of 1936 so while the reg month given of January 36 is probably wrong the rest may not be.
Actually I rather like these!

First registration given as 11/12/1936, good old Devon no. plate.

Rather nice old car but 4.5 litre engine probably drink petrol at an alarming rate.

There was a Buick just like this at a gathering yesterday evening, an amazing looking machine and with a straight-eight engine to boot. Photos to follow.

Lovely styling on some of these but at 4 and a half litres it would be too thirsty for me.
