G'day over there Wink

A couple of weeks ago a bloke who lives in the UK came on the Australian vintage caravan forum asking if we could identify a caravan he found in the garden of a house he had bought.

He was told it has been in the same spot since the 1950's..... 18ft long, metal cladding.

We weren't able to help him and I suggested he post the photo here.... so far he hasn't done that so I thought I would post it for him.

Anybody got any suggestions ?

Cobber.

Definitely home made.

Even though its home made, its still worth saving, it looks in nice condition on the outside.

Thanks fellas,

I would have thought home made too.
He did indicate to us that "Internally the caravan resembles the layout of a Thomson Glenrosa", so maybe it has been used as a spare room after somebody decided it wasn't the most attractive touring van in the park, but now, with the passage of time it does represent a period of caravan history worth preserving....... I reckon Wink Laughing

I'm not so sure that it is home-made.
How would they get it out of the front door?

Dunno bout that like uncle alec , but me dad built a boat in the empty (condemned ) house next door to us in early 60`s when I was a kid, he just knocked the wall out to get it out and sold it to the local probation officer ,this is true.
