Aye commercial vehicles are great, there's such a variety of lorries, signwriting etc etc. It was definitely a big show, the weather made walking around hard going at times, and I barely ventured into the field where the Fodens and ERFs were lined up.
Yes we took the Volvo, dad brought his Vanden Plas 1300 (photographed) too so we all made a day of it.

what a wonderful selection of both cars and commercials--must have been a huge parking area just for the big -uns. best take a foldaway seat just for a rest . good photography rick-- some of us oldies require memory jogs to bring back happy days.thanks for that......

Peter Jones's C type is a bit rare too, coil sprung front axle.  |

That Leyland with the dropped cab looks interesting("The Rare One").It looks like a 50's chassis,but even so,quite advanced thinking for the time.
Do you have any more info on that one,Rick? |
