PR for November's event:
---------------
MORRIS CLUBS CELEBRATE CENTENARY AT
LANCASTER INSURANCE CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW
The UK’s Morris motoring clubs have joined forces to create a huge celebration of the marque’s centenary at this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, held at Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th November 2013.
Over 1,500 square metres of Hall 17, one of the 11 show halls used for the annual classic motoring celebration, has been allocated to the 16 clubs involved. The centerpiece of the Morris clubs’ stands will be a 400 square metre display featuring 25 'best of the best' Morris vehicles from the past 100 years.
John Ford, Chairman of the Morris Register, said: "This will be the biggest indoor display of Morris vehicles ever seen and will create an amazing buzz for clubs and visitors alike. The biggest problem is selecting which models to showcase but what will be on offer is the best there is!"
No such problem on the Morris Register's own stand where the focal point will be a polished chrome chassis of a Morris 8, rarely seen as its been taken from the Morris museum archive.
The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show's club coordinator Alison Judge said: "The Morris clubs are going all out to mark the centenary and the plans we've seen are amazing. There are several other milestones being celebrated including the show's own 30th anniversary, so it just wasn't possible.
"As part of the show's celebrations, we've invited every club who exhibited at last year's fantastic event to return along with around a dozen clubs that have never exhibited before or haven't been for several years. The clubs have been at the heart of the show's success for the past 30 years so its only right we invite more than ever to join us for this year's celebrations."
The clubs involved in the Morris Centenary Celebration are the Morris Minor Owners Club, Morris Register, Morris Cowley and Oxford Owners Club, Minor LCV Register, and 6/80 and MO Club.
They will be joined by the 1100 Club, J J/B and 101 Register, Morris Commercials, Cambridge Oxford Owners Club, Pre- War Minor Network, Morris Marina Club, and the Post Office Vehicle Club. The Morris clubs will also be joined by the Austin Maxi Owners Club, Wolsely Register and Landcrab Owners Club International.
As part of the Morris celebration, the Bullnose Morris Club will to make its show debut. Garry Wright, organiser of the club’s NEC stand, said: “The Bullnose Morris Club is very proud to exhibit their cars at the Classic Motor Show. We’ll be exhibiting four superb original cars - a 1914-Deluxe (White & Poppe), a unique 1921 Bullnose Cabriolet, a beautiful 1925 Bullnose Oxford Saloon and a rare 1928 Flatnose ¾ Coupe. All the cars with their unique story and history will be on display, with knowledgeable members of the Club in attendance throughout the show.”

Looking forward to seeing this. I've got my Manta there this year, so will be there for 3 days. Sadly I can't take the Morris as well, but will be great to see so many there.
Looking forward to it. _________________ Born to rally, forced to work!
