Starting to get there, making sure the wings fit, they will come off again to paint the cab

Hi Russell - your photos of the cab detail are much appreciated ... I am about to remove my cab off the chassis for a complete body and mechanical 'make-over'. I can't use the term restoration, as the original E83W was a van, and had been crudely cut down into a pickup. During the rebuild I will retain the Fordson as a pickup, but remove the house weatherboards used and make the rear of the cab properly. |

Hi Bugly, I'm pleased they are a help to you. I can post some pictures of the cab rear if that you like?
These little pick ups were often supplied as a chassis cab so it was down to the individual body builder to build the rear of the cab and the back body so there is a lot of variety in how they were built. I've seen a lot and each one is different from the next!
Which means if you make a good job of yours, no-one can say it's wrong. |

Me Dad had one of those in 1951.It had a half covered rear body, and us kids travelled many many miles in there! I remember Mother saying that the cab was built for short-legged passengers ,though.
Thanks for the memories. |

Thanks Greg and Emerson, your mum was right, the passenger side has no foot well at all so they are definitely not passenger friendly. |

Hi again - yes please!! Love to see some rear shots of the cab detail. When Clarry was cut down, it was cut behind the fuel filler, giving maybe an additional 250mm of cab. I'll keep this extra space as a Fordson 'Extra-Cab'. |

Time for some pictures of the progress, I'd hoped to have it finished by now but it's not too far off
