|
|
I know you lot are a highly resourceful bunch so I thought I'd ask for ideas. I noticed today that one of the little chrome finishers on the end of the radio knobs has dropped off. I couldn't immediately see it on the carpet so it's probably gone for all time, sucked up in a vacuum cleaner or something.
That leave me needing a small chrome disc (or two to get them to match) because I don't want to look at a knob with a bare end!
Anyone got any obscure ideas where I could look for such an item - I have no idea where to start!
Cheers Rich...

It's a Smiths Radiomobile valve radio which has been converted with a modern amplifier and with an aux input for an iPod. |

How thick does this little chrome disc need to be? You can get chrome effect stickyback plastic sheet - only need to buy 1 A4 sheet via fleabay - that can look tolerably good in small doses. |

Thanks if you do have one that would be great. I also had a fiddle with the head of a drawing pin which is about right so if I can find one in chrome that may do the trick |

I'm not sure if the size will be ok but you could try the chrome covers used on mirror screws. _________________ Dave

Try Tadpole radios who might be able to help Rick. Anything must be better than being forced to look at a knob with a bare end |

Thanks for looking. I've found it's the same size as a drawing pin so may bodge one up with one of those |
