Just followed this up on the Hamilton Lancaster site.
Almost EVERY event is on the South Coast.
People of Eastbourne enjoy - while the rest of us cry!
I did hope that the pair might fly over the Derwent Dams as the British one does periodically.
An opportunity missed I think. Both from filming opportunities and the opportunity for people further North to enjoy them.

Rotten weather at Southport air show on Saturday meant that none of my Lancaster photos are any better than these, and a problem with my lens stopped me getting many of both planes in the same frame. I know, excuses, excuses. Derwent Dam was the destination on Sunday.

I kept an eye open for stuff heading towards Southport on Sunday as I was at Ellesmere Port, but didn't see anything. Manky weather did add to the atmosphere, but just makes it difficult to get any decent shots, though seeing and hearing them was enough. Leisurely circling the beach they didn't put much of a display on compared to the more agile stuff like the very vocal Typhoon jet, but still a great sight.
I believe the Canadian one is scheduled to have left at 10am and doing a little tour on the way out, rumours that it may be escorted as well. |

Both Lancs flew over Collingham Show (Nottinghamshire) on Saturday, then over Derbyshire reliving the dam runs Sunday. _________________ KA
