For those of senior years who have travelled around Scotland, many of these images will be familiar. A lot of boats, but there were a lot of ferries in years gone by.
Seeing the abandoned Ford Classic, brings back memories of the 1960's when abandoned cars were a familiar sight

Peter,
Thanks for posting. Lots of memories in there. The VC10 at Prestwick was the only BOAC route that kept flying when they went on strike because it didn't originate in London. They flew Manchester/Prestwick/Toronto and back. I sailed a few times on the Queen Mary II as a boy down to Rothsay. Glasgow Renfrew airport's main runway is now part of the M8. The nearby Royal Navy Air Station Abbottsinch became the new Glasgow airport.

Hi Art.
I have a photo in the hard copy archives of me on the QMII, I would have been about 14 ish. I stood in front of a life belt with the II hidden.
