This level is finish is probably as close to the original that can be recreated now,

This dashboard is from a late Mark 2. Witness the lighter coloured veneers and the real give-away, the round gear knob , correct for late ( October 1965 on) cars with an all synchromesh gearbox.

I have seen a Vicarage Mark 2 recreation and the walnut/wood trim was artificially glossy.[/img]
