Managed to repair the engine, skimmed head & removed all damage from the block, have done about 400 miles so far with no problems so all good. Then as driving to work the steering felt a little more vague than usual, on the way home was a little bit light turning left & tight turning right as i was steering onto the drive the steering wheel spun round, turns out the inner column had sheared about 2 foot down the column, so now looking for a complete inner & outer column if anyone has one to spare. |

Been a while since my last post , have covered quite a few miles in the Austin & its earned its keep, fitted a mk1 escort engine & gearbox to it which made it much more reliable. Think the time has come to part with it now, so have reluctantly put it up for sale. |
