Thanks, I've seen yours on the E83W website, I think Buzzy Bee ended off with one if I'm not mistaken? |

Well, I'm pleased to say after many hours in the workshop and one very very late night/ morning last Friday/ Saturday that except for the signwriting, I have finally finished 622 CBB.
The final push was so it would be ready for the 33rd Tyne Tees Commercial vehicle run which was on Sunday 7th June 2015. I'm pleased to say that apart from a tiny charging issue, the little truck drove beautifully, covered over 100 miles and never missed a beat. At the end of the run, it was nice to get complimented by some of the old guys that used to drive these vehicles and to get awarded with the trophy for the best in class!
Here are some photographs of the last few months finishing off jobs... which always take so much longer than you think!

It was a hard call to paint that lovely hardwood but I always think a varnished wood body looks like an afterthought and not part of the truck but that's just me! There are some lovely trucks out there with a natural wood finish

On a sad note, the original owner died in December 2014 so he never got to see the truck completely finished but he did come and see it after the cab was painted and was well pleased with the way it looked.
He was a lovely guy and a great character who knew everything there was to know about early Ford commercials
This is him when we pulled the truck out of the shed for the first time in about 48 years. He was sad to see it to go but knew it would be well cared for and not just sold on.

622 has come up beautifully!! I hope that Clarry will look even half as good when he is finally on the road, and it'll probably be the same colours too!! |

Those wings are brilliant, what a skill to produce them. That is a lovely little truck. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

sorry about the lost images, the thieves at photobucket want $400 a year to allow 3rd party hosting, I'll get them hosted somewhere else so they can be seen |
