Hi I hope anyone can point me in the right direction here. I am new to this website but my father is now 83 and has 2 vans he is considering selling off as he no longer feels like restoring them.
1 is 1979 Mini Van in very good order a runner, but needs odd sill and mot etc, absolutley original and complete. Smile
2 is 1952 A40 (somerset?) van, again a runner original but needs some restoration work, column change body all in good order, he has owned it since buying it as an ex demo!!!
I understand both are sought after and poss A40 is very rare (has had side windows put in, bit still have blanks to go back in)
can anyone help us to possibly value and or sell, he would like them both to go to a good home for someone to appreciate rather than just sell on to mates who want to buy for a bit of a toy etc.
My mobile is 07941190037 or please e mail me paulandsue.woodward@blueyonder.co.uk in any way.

I can get photos and give full details as required.

thanks all. Smile

Hi

Welcome to the Forum.

You are indded right, all comercials are sought after, mini vans like all minis have a huge following, and the a40 vans as far as I know are quite rare, Rick will tell you more as he has Devon Pickups.

Do you have some pictures to post, this will help us all, as we can see what we are talking about etc?

Cheers

Dave

Okay I will have to get some photos done and post them or e-mail to anyone who wants to see them.
Dad is located in Leicestershire and I live in Brum, but should be able to do that fairly easily, thanks. Smile

Condition is everything really, with values ranging from low hundreds for something needing a lot of work to get it back to the road, upto a few thousand for a minter. Having had windows put in the back of the van section will dampen things a bit, most popular are unmodified vans (same as with Ford E83Ws, Moggy Minors etc)
