I remember going to the Motor Show at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow in the early 60s and coming home with a bag full of car brochures. I have never been to one since. I don't like looking at things I cant afford. Do others on the forum go to the Motor Show.?

If I never looked at things I couldn't afford, my eyes might seize closed.

I went to the Earls Court show back in late 50's and came back with all sorts of brochures. Nobody told us to keep them in pristine condition.

Do new-car Motor Shows still take place even, in the UK? other than the feature they have at the Goodwood FOS each year?

I might have been at the same show at Earls Court Peter as my Dad and Grandad took me one year round about then. After a day at Earls Court we spent a couple of hours at the Dairy Show which was on at Olympia and scoffed ourselves on samples of cheese. Sadly I can't remember a thing about the cars I saw at the Motor Show...

Hi
I must have gone in the late 50's as well because Reliant were showing the Sabra the Israeli market precursor of the Sabre.

Went to 2 Earls Court shows in the mid 60's, one in '74 and then one at the National Exhibition Centre in 1978. Bag loads of stuff, all of which was removed to bins quietly by late OH
