Aft'noon all,
Are there any interesting semi-derelict classics in your area, perhaps gathering moss in a driveway, or crumbling away beneath a half-torn cover?
Bonus points for photos
There were two or three Series 1 XJs spotted behind a house not far from here, this was a few years ago while walking our now-departed dog in a field. A look on Google Earth suggests that they may have now gone.
On the school run I pass a part-dismantled VW Beetle Cabrio (Karmann). A few years ago it was on the road, but now the wings are off and its clearly had surgery undertaken to its inner wings.

Hi Rick.
Yes there are lots of "Relics" here. Unfortunately they are still being driven. Mainly Renault Broadways. Most of them in various states of falling to bits.
But they all get fixed up for the 3 yearly MOT. |

Hi Peter, what were you doing there?(he said sticking his nose in). Were you looking to see if Jim Clark or Ecurie Ecosse had left any bits lying about Chaterhall? All the best,JD. _________________ 1958 Ford Zephyr Mk2 Convertible

Hi John,
I was a passenger traveling back from a visit to Hull to see progress on a friend's MG SA that he's having paneled down there.
This is Ken's second SA and having sold his first one he can now afford to pay for work on the car below. (A sucker for punishment! That applies to me me too as I'll probably get sucked in for the mechanicals and electrickery.)

My fathers 1967 Cortina 1600E lies under a tarp in our yard, we get a lot of people enquiring about the 'derelict' car and how much we want for it!! _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

| Funnily enough, they've gone. For years and years there were three triumphs sitting all forlorn next to a house on the Mulsanne straight. Two Heralds, one a convertible and a Vitesse convertible, grass growing all around, one with a big roll of barbed wire on the bonnet, but he just wouldn't consider selling. I only asked him so I could pass the info on to the Triumph club. Anyway, they've gone, and I hope salvaged to cannibalise since they were too far gone to save. |
