| I can't see anything Austin there; it looks like it may have a pre-war Ford front axle and suspension, but that certainly doesn't qualify for Historic status in my book... |

The curved drop does look very Ford like.
It's difficult to tell from the photos but the 1937 axles looks pretty similar.
A couple of strange things are the four stud hubs and no obvious shock absorbers!

The drivers seat / bench looks much too far away from the steering wheel. Long arms needed to reach the top of the steering wheel!
