This took my eye. I suppose there is going to be something wrong with it but there are no clues in the advert. My wife's Uncle had one of these comfortable cars for many years. (It was a Mk3). The family would take weekend trips down to the New Forrest in Hampshire. Happy days.

I wonder how much of our interest in old cars is coloured by fond memories?

You need a sturdy hoist to lift the engine from the car Smile

The interior may be slightly damp. The steering wheel has shrunk.

Sad that people do things like that. I think you need a fair size steering wheel if you don't have power assistance. Besides, the original wheel was very attractive, I thought.

It is good to see that the Rootes cars have a strong following. Needless to say, true Sunbeam and Talbot cars are now out of the reach of most enthusiasts. Sad

I remember my grandfather buying a new or nearly new one of them. He was very proud of it. Black with red leather I remember.
