Hi
I know we are really in to classic cars here, but thought you might like to see the new Bristol, it appeared at Goodwood today.
It's covered in dazzle, presumably to hide some features from journos or competitors, but I do like the retro image so reminiscent of the 404, 405, 406 and Speedster.

Very swish—but no weatherproofing? In the British climate? They have to be joking.

Hardly practical. Most Bristols were useable cars. Not sure this is. And I find it looks rather like an old fibreglass special of the 50`s. |

Cor Blimey! Don't half remind me of the ships in the 1st world war! Up periscope! looks like a cross between the front of an AC Ace and the rear of the new F type project 7 Jaguar. Now what was the car with twin headrests in the day? I'll dig out the photo. |

I think someone has taken a chainsaw to the roof of a Peerless/Warwick, and then wrapped it in sticky backed plastic, Blue Peter style. |

It has a hard act to follow.
Many consider the Bristol 403 as one of the most elegant cars ever designed :

I do not think this new Bristol could never be called elegant. I suspect it is nothing but a toe in the water to see what the reaction to a relaunch of Bristol is. I doubt that enough buyers could be found to enable it to be produced in any numbers. Time will tell. |

This was mine in France with a brand new and faulty master cylinder.
I liked the looks of this more than the 401/3, which was the last good car they made IMO. Jensen made better V8 engined cars IMO. |
