Hi

No probs, I need the seals myself so can't help you on that front, the rear mudgaurds are built into my pickup and don't have any others spare, and the steering wheel, I may have one, but I am not sure, if I do it will be a bit cracked, I have restored my one.

Cheers

Dave

Hi

I will try and find an article on how to restore them, it is a lengthy job, but may be an option!

Cheers

rustyreks in NZ has done a great job at re-furbishing his steering wheel, I've seen pics but if he sees this post hopefully he'll pop some notes on here, about how he did it.

Dave my steering wheel was horrific as it had been weathered outside 1/3 of the bottom base had separated and much of the bakelite material was misshaped and alot of the metal frame was visible though rusted for a cost of approx $20.00 new zealand i repaired it i first sand blasted the bakelight esp places where it had cracked and removed any loose material although the sand blaster did a pretty good job of that its important to clean the rusted frame so the epoxy putty has something to stick to i then used abit of jb weld to join up the broken section back on.then used the grinder to roughly shape the steering wheel and then used some epoxy putty i think it was called knead it it is sold in a stick it is a two part putty and you mix it up and it sets hard. After mixing it sets quite fast i shaped sections at a time as there was quite a lot of repairing to be done so far so good the hardest part was the sanding it took a good 6-7 hours to get it just right i only experimented as i couldnt find a better one but the end result was well worth the effort as it looked new i then primed and spray painted it and it didnt cost that much to do esp when it is difficult to pick up a good one.It was one of those jobs where i was going to throw the steering wheel away but thought what have i to lose and in the process ended up with a really good steering wheel can send some pics if interested in some brent
