Hi

I asked rick this the other day, but lets see what everyone thinks?

How much would you expect to pay to store your car in a dry secure barn/shed?

Cheers

Dave

That sounds cheap! Around here, a car sized garage runs from $100.00 a month and higher!

I have an interest in a business in Southend, Essex that offers car storage in a fully secure, alarmed warehouse for £15 - £20 per week depending on the services we provide for your vehicle.

Full day-time access (by appointment on Weekends) for delivery/collection.

A bit far for you Buzzy, but there are similar facilities all over the country.

WoW thats not that cheap, over here I have two rented lock up garages (one with electricity) and I pay Lm160 a year rent for the one equipped with electricity which I pay separetely and Lm90 for the other, In GBP it would be about GBP264 for the Lm160 and GBP148.50 for the Lm90

The one which I pay Lm160 was quite cheaper a couple of years ago but the owner decided to increase the rent!!
I am considering trying to buy one instead, it would be dearer but at least would be mine!!

Hi

I have found a place now, thanks for all of the replies though. I have found a place that is very close to Nantwich, so very local.

If anyone wants details they probably have some space at the moment for you, as they have just converted a giant farm barn for storage, just ask.

I think it works out to about a £1 a day or just under.

Cheers

Dave

Hi

Not as of yet, as it is mainly caravans and trailers, but I think he will let anything be stored within reason.

Cheers

Need to be careful that they have proper ventilation in the barn.
I once stored a car in a redundant hen house and was horrified when I went to work on it on a cold damp day. The henhouse was damper than outside....

My most recent storage of a car was to one of these companies who store furniture/paperwork/anything at all for businesses or householders.
It was great as there was an area for the storage of 12 cars that had been sectioned off. Fully heated, 24 hour CCTV linked to the police and all for £8.00 per week.

Hi

I have contacted that kind of establishment, but they never reply to me, I think the must prefer smaller boxed storage etc.

As far as I can tell the barn should be quite dry, as it is undercover but should have a good airflow through it, anyway we will see!

Cheers for the pointer though!
