Hi,
Recently I noticed a gear oil leak in the rear wheel of the right side of my A40 Austin Devon probably an oil seal.
Any ideas please on how to replace and from where to purchase the right oil seal. The make and part number will be appreciated to make it easy to buy the part. Thank you all.
Regards,
Classiccars

Ebay throws up a few options, eg

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-OF-REAR-HUB-OIL-SEALS-AUSTIN-A40-DEVON-DORSET-SOMERSET-1947-1954/232864923880?hash=item3637d4c0e8%3Ag%3A8kkAAOSwOjpZdfoh&_sacat=131090&_nkw=a40+austin+rear+hub+oil+seal&_from=R40&rt=nc

I don't know the seller.

if your car is a solid rear axle then it is a faily easy job to do and i suspect the seal will be the same as a few other british cars and not just an austin.
good luck

Hello Everybody,
Thank you all for your feedback. Special thanks go to BigJohn for the seals part number and also to Rick for giving me the link to buy the last pair offered for sale on eBay.
