Finally after 20 odd years of searching for an original grill for my 1937 Ford 7W I had two messages yesterday offering me grills?
In the last 10 years I have been offered 2 in the UK, one was £1200 and the next was £1450!
There have been many false leads over the years that have promised but come to nothing.
This time the source is in NZ and the cost even with shipping is a fraction of what has been asked over here. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

What a couple of days!
My Ford 7W grill has arrived from NZ, 11,602 miles! It is in suberb condition, I have saved around £1000 buying from over there. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

I will upload one on my flickr and bring it across. I am still in a state of disbelief that it has actually happened after all these years of searching. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

How about this Rick!
Condition is wonderful, just some surface rust and it has all of its inserts in the apertures. they need a little straightening and some polishing only. What a find after all these years, the chap in New Zealand was very good to find it and sell it on to me. He simply wanted it to actually be used on a car rather than sit with a dealer or in a shed! _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

Hi Rootes. Both ends of the human spectrum in a week and a great subject for when people ask you what you got for Christmas and you answer, " I got an old grille" |

I got the crate last night, it was big obviously. I unpacked it in our kitchen and didnt take it out to the garage till late, it sat there being admired by me, not the same reaction from the wife or kids!
It is most definately like Christmas for me! _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |
