Hi
Something odd about the first link compared with the last one (get rid of the [/img] by the way). With it, took me to a sign in page.
On picture 1 there is a structure going up at an angle from the N/S front the other picture shows it missing, but neither photo shows any sign of a similar item, presently or previously.
What would be the reason for such a substantial assymetry?
There doesn't appear to be any ID plates rivetted on, some of the small holes on the scuttle panel could have been where on was, but are there any punched in number/letter sequences, perhaps on the side/underside of the long members? _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Here are my suggestions purely for discussion.
The chassis is welded. When did that start?
The chassis is boxed, might indicate light commercial (F150 sorta thing)
Cross members look ready to accept transverse leaves front and rear, rear does not look to be made for semi-elliptics, so Ford.
No provision for woodwork in front pillar so not that old, is that a catch for a front opening door?

I'll suggest:
It's a left-hand drive chassis
The upright on the left side front could be a curved support for a fender/wing.
There are two X bracing indentations over the rear axle - is this a clue to a manufacturer?
Are there any other parts that came with it?
(I can't see the last photo or edit the URL). _________________ Mike - MVPeters at comcast.net

Yes, the thing on the right of the first photo is certainly a wing stay. There would have been a matching one on the other side. I think we can say that it's not British. I think there would be a better chance of identification on an American forum.

If it's in Argentina, it's almost certainly American they dominated the South American market in the 20's and 30's. Because of the transverse leaf springs could it be a very early Ford V8. The first few they made didn't have the central x member. Just a wild guess |
