I’d like to say progress has been phenomenal, that would be a lie though.
Due to work and family time progress is slow. Was never going to be done over night though.
As it sits for so long the brakes keep seizing on. Thankfully a mate has shown me a very quick and easy way to free them.
I had an issue with brake light wiring which has been resolved, now have a full set of working lights.
The fuel stop solenoid was sticking. Also resolved so starts and stops as it should.
Identified a leaking air valve. Ordered a new one and waiting delivery.
The range change wasn’t working and with the help of a much more experienced mechanic we identified a well and truly past it’s best valve. I’ve found loads of genuine new ones from America, will be having a ring round a few UK suppliers on Monday to try and source it more locally and quicker.
New horn to fit too. _________________ 1975 ERF LV 8x4
