Does anyone know how many "blower" Bentleys were built ? I don't know but I would take a bet on there being far more look alike replicas (good, bad and indifferent) than were ever built for racing.
It's a bit late complaining about it now! |

Hi everyone. If anyone, anywhere comes across any information about
Tom or 'Scrap' Thistlethwaite and his Bentley and the Irish Grands Prix, his schooner "Charmian" or indeed any snippet, please contact me. I will reply to all messages. Thanks. peterhlawford@gmail.com |

The nearest I ever came to buying one of the many replica "blower Bentleys" was back in the 1980s when Sunningdale Motors (my local garage at the time) had a converted MKV1.
While many of these recreations are quite dreadful, this particular car had just the right look about it. Unfortunately, there are other costs involved in such ownership - not least insurance - which when added together put me off. |
