Here is a photo of my 1972 Austin 1100 auto I use it as a second car only, its allway,s very reliable only done 39000 miles and has given no trouble at all in the 4 years I have owned it.[/img] [img][/img] |

There's a blast from the past! The streets were crawling with these when I was a young 'un.

| Nice Motor I had 2 manual versions and did thousands of miles in them. How ever did BL morph this great motor into the Allegro? Someone somewhere needed his head examined!!!! |

| Thanks Rick. It is in nice nick, had very little done to it bodily or mechanicaly, free tax of course very cheap to insure, £80 fully comp. so its a cheap motor to keep in the garage for when needed if the missus is out in our day to day car, and its nice to take out for a run now and again, or to a show. |

Yes, it's weird, you only occasionally see an 1100/1300 these days but they were very good cars. My wife had several of them. Your's certainly looks to have survived very well.
