Hi
I wonder which European country it is with it's variable No Waiting sign.
It appears to have a Tetley's house (If you don't zoom in) beyond the Borgward. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

A Borgward Kombi it is. I did not recognise it because I remember the Borgwards having different rear lamps. Well, it seems some of them got these lamps as well.
Picture is from Tilburg, the Netherlands, my hometown. The nice old Philips sign, Willem II and of course the NL plate on the rear of the car should have helped
variable No Waiting? Not so much - parking is forbidden for the right side of the road. Cannot see what the little square says under it - something about 20 uur. Maybe from 20h onwards it is allowed to park? _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

Hi
So does the blank half of the sign apply to the Left side?
Is it a sign that can be changed from one side to the other, it does appear to be hinged top and bottom of the divide. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Penman- I now see what you mean by variable.
That said I do not have a clue. As far as I know street signs here never had/have a vertical hinge or divider. So what this is is a mystery. I will ask others if this is a known (past) phenomenon. _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

Could be Chesterfield but the photo isn't the best I have ever seen... but then there is Salisbury and of course it may be Rouen, but COVID kinda rules that out |

Hi
It is Chesterfield's crooked spire.
Seen "in the flesh" as it were, it was quite obvious but yes I must admit the phone photo isn't the best.
I don't think Salisbury or St Walburges lean quite like that, and my lack of a passport would prevent my delivering to Rouen.
Actually I don't think the firm would countenance a repair job for someone in France either. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

No Passport !! How the heck did you make it into Derbyshire ?
I lived in Barnsley and Chesterfield is well known to me. My first thoughts that it must be Lancashire because the spire is vertical and the houses are leaning....

Hi
I used the A6 down to Chapel-en-le-Frith then cut through Baslow passing Chatsworth in order to avoid Yorkshire.
We have special dispensation to enter Yorkshire from Lancashire but only if the job is in Yorkshire.
Is that local to you now or is it over here? _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

If you had photographed it from Brimmington on the long descent into Chesterfield the twist would have been much more prominent.
As it was so hard to make out in this photo I didn't catch on despite seeing it about 20 times in the last months.
