I agree; I'm pretty sure I recall seeing ones like that, but never took much notice, so I have no idea of the makes available. It looks to be of fibreglass construction, so probably dating from the mid-1960s. _________________ in the garage: 1938 Talbot Ten Airline

This pic taken 1933 came up at another forum. Something for Rootes75:

Not exactly a mystery photo... because this is clearly an MG M type taken on June 4th 1933 showing keen rally driver, pharmacist
PJ Sheehan MC (left) and his co driver John McHale, as winners of the Premier Award in the reliability trial of the Ballina and District
Motor Club competition.
The MMM Register shows ZI 5553 to be the Registration for chassis 2M 1992.
The question is does the car still exist?
There is apparently not much pre War MG interest in Ireland.
The photo is featured in a recent BBC4 programme titled "Irelands Treasures Uncovered".
I have lifted the photo from the MMM Register forum which I acknowledge and to whom am grateful.

The photo of the car in Kenya clearly has larger brake drums than an MG M type ? |

BTW I think you are probably right about Bentley. Truth is we simply can't tell for sure. |

It has a long enough wheelbase to be a Bentley.

Afternoon all,
Can anyone take a punt at what the vehicle trundling up Grantham High Street (AKA The Great North Road) might be?
Grantham High Street by Penguin 45, on Flickr
Very early 20th century I would suspect, but not a horse in sight.
Thanks,
Chris. _________________ '67 Wolseley MkI 18/85, '70 Austin MkII 1800 The Landcrab Forum. |

Whatever it is, I think it may be stationary. There is water spurting out from the bottom of the radiator. |

Without much convection, how about a Napier? I assume it has its registration number mounted on its header tank.

I would say that's as good a choice as any, Peter. |
